City customers reminded of festive season office closures

The City of Cape Town’s customer offices will be closed on some days during the festive season. Customers should consider making use of the City’s e-Services and convenient online payment options where possible, especially in light of the Covid-19 resurgence.

The City reminds customers of its customer office closures for public holidays during the festive season. The City’s municipal offices, including cash, motor vehicle registration and licensing, Human Settlements offices as well as Driving Licence Testing Centres (DLTCs) and municipal courts will be closed over the festive season period on the following days:

The festive season operating hours for the Liberty Promenade, Table Bay Mall and Lansdowne Corner Mall will be as follows:

1 – 15 December 2021

Monday to Friday        :  08:30 – 16:00

Saturday to Sunday     : 09:00  – 12:30

You may pay your municipal accounts (excluding motor vehicle licences) at any Shoprite, Checkers, USave, Pick n Pay, PEP, Ackermans, Lewis, Top It Up, Woolworths and Spar shops, online at www.easypay.co.za or www.powertime.co.za as well as via your internet banking facility: Select the City of Cape Town as a bank-listed beneficiary on your bank’s website and use only your nine-digit municipal account number as reference.

Payment for the renewal of motor vehicle licences may be made online at www.capetown.gov.za/vehiclelicensing.

Payment of pre-due date traffic fines may be made online at www.easypay.co.za, www.clicks.co.za and at www.paycity.co.za, as well as at selected Spar shops.

We thank all our customers for their patience during this extremely difficult time and encourage the use of online services as an option to stay safe and avoid queues.

For account payments:

  • EFTs: Select the City as a bank-listed beneficiary. Use only your nine-digit municipal account number as reference
  • Retailers: Checkers, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Spar and Woolworths
  • e-Services: Use the City’s online e-services portal (Debit order only)
  • ATM: contact your bank to add the City as an ATM beneficiary

 
Register on e-Services:

  • Renew vehicle licences
  • Submit water/electricity readings
  • Pay accounts online
  • View current account and account history
  • Apply to receive accounts via email
  • Log service requests
